WOOLSERY SOCIETY
All meetings, are held at the Woolsery Community Centre, starting at 7.30 pm.
Attendance fee is £1, to include tea/coffee and biscuits. (£1.50 for non-members.)
The Woolsery Society is an active group of around fifty members who meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 7-30pm during the winter season(October-April). The evening consists of selected guest speakers to give the group an insight on many topics, some obscure, some educational, some humorous, but always interesting.
After the talk which lasts for up to an hour we break for tea/coffee and biscuits. We then continue with our general meeting to discuss where and when to hold events such as summer walks, barbecue, Christmas party and so on with the entire evening lasting no more than two hours.
The annual subscription is just £5 with members paying £1 and non members £1-50 on the night and that includes the tea/coffee and biscuits. We are a friendly group who welcome new members. The Society is also an ideal opportunity to keep in touch with village news.
Interested? Then refer to our entry in the "The Village News" or elsewhere on this website.
